Another action packed day

Phew... what a day, and it is still going.

We woke up at about 0630 this morning and both kiddes had snotty noses, Amanda has a gunky eye and Elliot woke with a cough. So at 0940 we wen to the doctors - just in case... Luckily we did.

Elliot now has tonsillitis and a yukky nose and Amanda has nasty conjunctivitis in her right eye, heading for her left - probably by morning. So it has been a wonderful day all round really. I now have a 'tickle' in my throat and an itchy 'just before an ear infections sets in' ear, so am looking forward to a bit of help this week with my mother in law coming to stay for the week. I just hope I can still manage a few shifts at work for some extra play money.

So we left at about 0900 this morning only to return almost 3hours later at 1200midday... long morning and three different Pharmacies later (each one had something we did want and something else we wanted but they didn't have) and then roadworks... grrr don't even get me started.

Why do they insist on blocking one whole lane of road on one of the busiest roundabouts at midday... please explain that for me... So that was 20minutes and several nasty words to a Coralla driver later who took about 100m just to merge into my lane and was at the same time blocking the poor guy behind her...

But we are all ok now, everyone survived, I just have a crank little girl and a sooky little man to take care of. We are all bathed and fed so the day turned out ok in the end.

What a journey

Goodnight to all and enjoy that coffee you have earned it.

1950pm here... night night

Gym Stats... scary...

Well today was my first solo Weights Training Day, so that was scary. I must have looked like a lost 1st Grader wandering from machine to machine looking for the right one to use - as per my program. But we got there in the end.

Both kids went to the Creche - and survived - although they do have that 'creche/daycare' smell to them. Both are sleeping now, Amanda doesn't do the noise very well, but she will get used to it as she will be there 5days a week for the next few months and Elliot will be there a few days as well.

So I thought I would blog my Gym Stats - as my memory is terrible - on here so that I can look back in a few weeks and see how I am doing.

As of 28th March 2007
Weight 88.2kg
BFC 44.5%
Height 170cm
BMI 30.4

Scary huh. Here is my target
Weight 65-68kg
BFC 25% ('Fitness')
Height 170cm - der
BMI 22-25

Wish me luck...

Cheers to a salad sandwich and bottle of water for lunch. Yahoooooooo.... hmmm

Snotty Kids

Well Elliot woke up with a snotty nose this morning, which is delightful being woken up by a sneezing kid. And Miss Amanda is nothing but a grizzle bum today, so she is back asleep after waking up at 5am - no one needs to be awake at 5am... - so its a happy house all round.

Missing out on the gym today :( as I cant put the kids in creche all snotty and feral like they are, so am hitting the Beach for a walk a bit later in the day - once it has cooled off again.

Any who have a great day and will post up any exciting news from The Strand later in the day.

First Day at the Beach

Amanda looked a little scared in her !!!PINK!!! suit but Elliot was itching to get in the water.

The joys of having kids near the water...

xxx my kiddies

Look what I did

Look what I can do, with the help of my great neighbour Joyce...

This is me and my kid-lets a few weeks ago, will update pictures as soon as I get some more taken.

I am sooo clever... :>

Ouch Ouch Ouch!

Well this morning after my first 'session' with my instructor I woke up a little stiff, but was fine once I was actually up and out of bed at some unHoly hour... thanks to my two children.

So we got ready and headed off to Kindy and then I hit the gym for a 1hour stint at Cardio - as I only do weights 3times a week and Cardio every day - and man-o-man am I sore...

But as they say if it hurts you know its working - so its working really well. I'm not sore to sit or stand, its when I have been sitting and want to stand up. Once I am up and moving it feels great. I haven't felt so awake and energised in months, I don't feel that usual 2pm slouch coming on.

As the weather is getting cooler - still hot up here though - I have decided to take the kids for stroll thru the estate where we live in the afternoons, might help tire them out and will be a nice wind down after a hard days work at Kindy for Elliot. And Missy just loves watching the trees sway about the place. She is an out doors kinda girl that one. And I think if I can concrete a nice outdoors routine for them now, once Elliot gets his new bike for his birthday - more then likely it will be sooner then that - then hopefully they wont carry the weight issues that their parents have.

So I am enjoying the gym, its nice to simply zone out and focus on me for a change, and I really hope my results show that.

Any who off for a last cuppa before picking up my boy and tackling them both before dinner time. Hope you are all well and enjoying the sunshine we are having here... another beautiful day in FN Qld.

Day 1... my first blog

HI there everyone, this is my first blog and what a day to start.

Today was my first day at the gym, pretty easy, just saw the trainer and got my program sorted and go for my first day tomorrow ( Thursday). A bit scared about it, although I have done it before and successfully lost 30+kg in 12months, this time I want to lose 20kg in 4months.

Wish me luck.

It was a hectic day all round, my two kids Elliot (almost 3) and Amanda (4months) run me ragged. Between tantrums, teething, conjunctavitis, and what looks to be a persistant ear infection (or some seriously crafty selective hearing from a 3year old) it has been a long week, and we are only half way through it.

Anywho back to domestic bliss and a nice cup of coffee is in order.

Cheers to all those putting their feet up at the end of a long day.
